Hosting the PIERA Launch Event

Mudit Lal is a founder, engineer and designer from Lucknow, Bharat. He graduated from Arizona State University in December 2025 and is building ventures that serve communities across India.

Rooted in values passed down by his parents—staying grounded, remaining close to people, and serving the community—Mudit believes that meaningful work begins with understanding the lives it aims to touch. His approach is shaped by gratitude: for his teachers and mentors, for the opportunities he has been given, and for the responsibility that comes with them.

Whether through design, technology, or institution-building, his focus remains the same: contributing to the places and people that shaped him.

Roots

Mudit grew up in Lucknow with values shaped by his parents—being grounded, staying close to people, and serving the community. These principles continue to guide his work today.

Education

He completed his schooling at The Indian Public School in Dehradun before moving to the United States to study at Arizona State University. At ASU, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management (TEM) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Robotics), while also taking a graduate seminar on technology and innovation with President Michael Crow.

Service at ASU

Beyond academics, Mudit dedicated time to community and mentorship. He was the Founding First Officer India Policy and Economy Research Club (PIERA), served as a residential peer mentor, mentored first-year engineering students, and worked as an International Relations & Initiatives Assistant at the International Students and Scholars Center.

Current Work

Today, Mudit leads a team across his ventures—Devalok and Oshm—while establishing an office in Lucknow to continue this work from home.

Recognition

In December 2025, Mudit was selected as the Convocation Speaker and Impact Award recipient for the Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU. He has been featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education, ASU News, and QS Insights Magazine.
